Domestic Cleaning With Lemon
Lemon is popular for its high vitamin C level. I can be bitter and sour, but it is one of the most fresh scenting citrus fruits. As such it is a widely used deodoriser and a popular meal sauce. But few of us are aware of lemon’s domestic cleaning applications.
An efficient way to fresh up your home is to slice a lemon and boil it in water for an hour or so. The aroma will fill your home and will mask all bad smells.
Deodorise and clean your chopping board. Slice a lemon in halves and rub the board with it. It will make all stains and discolourations disappear.Leave it to sit for sometime and then rinse it well in water.
After cooking you know how hands and knives may smell if you have chopped onion or garlic. Wash your hands in lemon juice and then all smells will vanish. The same treatment goes for berry stains. But this time place the lemon slice on the stain and rub and then rinse your hands.
Ink stains can be easily removed with placing few drops lemon juice right on them. Leave the spotted cloth with the juice for several hours and then wash as normal. If the stain is still visible repeat the juice procedure.
For brightening white fabrics you can boil a pot with a lemon in it and then soak the fabrics in it for several hours before laundering.
Fight hard water deposits with a solution of equal parts water and lemon juice. Rub aluminium pots wit a lemon half.

Borax is the fifth element on the periodic table of chemical elements. Borax is white and my be even transparent and clear. It is water-soluble, it dissolves better in hot water. Borax is a good disinfectant. Here are some domestic cleaning tips you can try out and make your house toxic-free by using borax.
Borax can replace bleach in all its applications. Borax mixed as water can be used as hydrogen peroxide. Add borax to you laundry and remove all stains.
Borax is the ideal all-purpose cleaner. Add half a cup borax in a gallon of cold water. Mixing one part hot water with one part borax will create the best disinfectant. Use this solution while cleaning the bathroom. Put a little on a soft cloth and wipe all tiles clean. There is no risk of scratching so clean as you wish in the bathroom or the kitchen.
Most cleaning services London use a borax to disinfect the toilet. Half a cup borax in the toilet pan can do wonders. It cleans and disinfects simultaneously.
As we have already pointed out borax leaves no scratches so it is suitable for polishing your china porcelain or crystal glassware. All pots and pans can be washed with a mixture of borax and water. Add half a cup to the sink full of water and soak the dishes in. Rinse well.
You can clean the fridge with borax, too. It acts as baking soda. Make a past of water and borax and rub all dirty areas.
